I am an experienced professor of neurosurgery. At Aava hospital in Kamppi, I assess and operate on adult patients with:
- radiation pains of the neck and lumbar spine
- numbness and weakness symptoms in the limbs due to wear and tear (spondylosis)
- bulging disc
- synovial cyst or spinal canal narrowing, i.e. spinal stenosis
I also assess the need for treatment or follow-up of brain and spinal canal tumors and vascular diseases (aneurysm, AVM, cavernoma, dural AV fistula) and, if necessary, send to HUS Bridge Hospital's neurosurgery unit, which I have been the director of since the beginning of 2015. Surgical experience approaches 7,000 procedures.
