I'm a vascular surgeon with a vast experience in training and research around Europe in both cardiac (London, Milan, Lund, Rome) and vascular (Rome, Genoa) surgery. Currently, I’m working on a co-tutored PhD in vascular surgery with Universities of Helsinki, Finland, and Genoa, Italy.

At Lääkärikeskus Aava, I’m responsible for diagnosis and conservative treatment of intermittent claudication at Kävelyklinikka (Walking Clinic), which includes a Supervised Exercise Training program by physiotherapists for patients with peripheral arterial disease.

At the outpatient clinic of Aava Kamppi and Aava Itäkeskus I perform preliminary exams and request further tests for:

  • intermittent claudication and other periferal arterial diseases
  • varicose veins and other periferal vein insufficiencies
  • Furthermore, I give expert opinion in other non-urgent vascular diseases, if necessary.

I treat varicose veins at Aava Kamppi outpatient clinic with radiofrequency ablation and/or foam therapy.

Open surgical or endovascular treatment of arterial diseases, in Finland, are treated by public health care and a referral to a hospital can be done for further evaluation, if needed.
